Does it work offline or need an account?
Manual journal records are stored on your phone and work offline. No app account or developer journal server is required. Optional Health connections, chosen file providers and email have separate requirements and practices.
Is my journal in iCloud or my device backup?
No: iPhone 2.1 excludes the journal from iCloud and device backups. Use a separate encrypted recovery file you control. An exclusion does not remove older copies or guarantee every operating-system backup or transfer behaves identically. Read the recovery guide. iPhone direct LAN transfer uses the local network. The Android build makes no app network requests.
What is an encrypted recovery file?
It is a separate encrypted copy of your journal and supported settings, protected by a recovery code. Keep a verified copy outside the phone and keep the code separately. A copy saved only on the same phone cannot protect against losing that phone. How encrypted recovery works.
What if I lose my recovery code?
We do not have a replacement code or an unlock secret. If every copy of the code is lost, those encrypted recovery files cannot be unlocked. If the original phone still has your journal, preserve it and seek help before resetting or removing anything. Never send a recovery code to support.
Are JSON, CSV and PDF files encrypted too?
Legacy JSON backups and CSV/PDF reports are not encrypted by Platinum Track. They are different from an encrypted recovery file. Keep them in protected offline storage and review recipients before sharing them. PDF report export and PDF import are different operations. On Android, selectable-text PDF import requires Android 15 or later.
What should I do before changing phones?
Save a complete encrypted recovery file outside the phone, keep its code separately, then restore and check your records and settings before erasing the original. Keep the old installation until verification. Apple Health is not a complete journal backup.
Can I bring my existing history?
